Job Overview

The System Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the iCIMS employees have the tools and technology needed to make an impact at a global scale. System Administrator position reports to the Director of Corporate Technology Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and design solutions to computing issues as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving issues with both hardware and software

  • This role includes rotation Shifts but to start with the shift timings will be 3PM-12 PM IST.

  • Apply technical expertise to the implementation, monitoring, or maintenance of IT systems.

  • Will be required to lead complex problem resolution activities in order to get technology incidents and problems resolved.

  • Liaise with end user team leads to better understand productivity challenges and drive technical solutions to improve their environment.

  • Maintain stable Network operations

  • Implements new products, services, and operational solutions as well as augments existing capabilities.

  • Utilize ITIL problem management to research and resolve complex technical issues escalated from the End User Support team.

  • Develops and maintains training and education documentation for both the end users as well as the support team.

  • Surve as escalation point for L2 issues

  • Administers, executes processes/procedures and addresses issues for products and services supported in Technology Infrastructure. May support analysis and report generation, change service management.

  • Performs advanced administration requiring sound and thorough knowledge of specified operational products /services.

  • Provides technical operational, analytical and research support to technical teams through both written and verbal communications.

  • Drives incident resolution and root cause analysis of production problems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience of configuring and administrating servers, networks, workstations/laptops and associated software

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to take ownership of the work assigned, and deliver results timely, reliably and correctly

  • Must have working knowledge across all the IT disciplines including hardware, software, telephony, video teleconferencing, and connectivity.

  • Able to perform root cause analysis. Capable of proactively recommending effective courses of action, communicate resolution, policy and procedures to the various IT stakeholders, management, and end user population.

  • Must be able to explain diverse technical topics in easy-to-understand language with both technical and non-technical teams

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively

  • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, changing environment that is going through high growth

  • A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative, who can proactively identify issues/opportunities and recommend actions

  • Strong results orientation with a proven track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation

  • Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot network hardware, software, and peripherals

  • Ability to work evening and night shifts

Preferred

  • BA/BS preferred in computer science, network systems or computer engineering or relevant experience
